Our AGM this year was held in the Bessborough Centre with 37 Members present, our thanks to Thomas Quigley for making this facility available to us. Noel Power has retired as Chairman, but continues to serve on your Committee, where his huge amount of Beekeeping experience will continue to benefit the Association. The role of Chairman has passed to Ashley Allshire, and we trust that he keeps our Committee in order, where we have three new Members Maria Tobin, Richard Callanan, and Noel Riordan who are most welcome. Exams
10 Certificates were presented on the night and in total the Association had successful candidates during the year in the following grades
- 10 Preliminary,
- 5 Intermediate,
- 1 Intermediate Apiary Practical
- 1 Senior Certificate
Congratulations to everyone and in particular to Eleanor Attridge who passed all 4 elements required for the Senior Certificate in 2013 (the first time this happened nationally?).
