Cork Co Beekeepers ran an introductory microscopy workshop on Saturday 22 November in CIT.
It was basic introduction to the microscopes and the use of them. Participants were shown how to test their bees for Acarine and Nosema. It is very important to sample your bees twice a year, once in the springtime and once in the Autumn for both Acarine and Nosema.
They can now do this test in the comfort of their own homes at the kitchen table.
Thanks to John Kiely for the instruction. Lets hope they make use of it over the winter months.
Some photos from the workshop.
